June 6, 2011 the Russian nationwide newspaper “Vedomosti” published a rating “Best lawyers 2011”. This year the final list involves 281 lawyers of different areas from 70 law firms. In the list of Intellectual Property practitioneers “Best lawyers 2011” indicated Managing Partner of Sojuzpatent Ltd Svetlana Felitsyna and the Head of litigation practice Aleksey Zalesov.
According to the results of the 2011 survey of British edition “MANAGING INTEL-LECTUAL PROPERTY” (published in 2011 IP Handbook) among the Russian IP law firms Sojuzpatent Ltd. named in Tier 2 for “Patent prosecution”, “Patent contentious”, “Trademark prosecution”. LLC "Sojuzpatent" participated in the 15th Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies "Archimedes-2012" held from March 20 to March 23, 2012 in Moscow, in the EcoCenter "Sokholniki" supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Dr. Aleksey Zalesov, Head of Litigation practice of Sojuzpatent Ltd., lectured on the theme: "Foreign Licensing”.
November 22, 2011 the Moscow Arbitration Court ruled in favor of our client “Dyson Limited” (Great Britain) (Plaintiff) in patent infringement case on patent RU 73877 and decided to collect from the Defendant “Aljans-SU” Ltd. (“LeFutur” stores chain) damages in the amount of 29 970 rubles, to oblige the Defendant to stop selling bladeless fans «WC-001» in which industrial design under patent RU 73877 is used and to withdraw from the Defendant and destroy bladeless fans «WC-001» in which industrial design under patent RU 73877 is used.
November 15, 2011 the Arbitration Court of Novosibirsk Region ruled in favor of our client “Ferrero S.P.A.” (Italy) (Plaintiff) in trademark infringement case on international registration trademarks No. 783985 and No. 486994 and decided to collect from one of the Defendants compensation in the amount of 100 000 rubles, to collect from the other Defendant compensation in the amount of 555,60 rubles and to oblige the firstly mentioned Defendant to stop manufacturing and introducing into the civil turnover sweets “Monterosh” in individual packaging similar to the international registration trademarks No. 783985 and No. 486994.
November 14, 2011 the Appeal Arbitration Court for Ninth Circuit ruled in favor of our client «Chemical resource-and energy saving technology» Ltd. (Plaintiff) in trademark infringement case on Russian trademark No. 409019 and affirmed the Decision of the Moscow Arbitration Court as of August 26, 2011 according to which the Court decided:
- to collect from one of the Defendants compensation in the amount of 200 000 rubles,
- to collect from the other Defendant compensation in the amount of 200 000 rubles,
- to collect from the third Defendant compensation in the amount of 200 000 rubles,
- to oblige the Defendants to destroy on their own expense packagings of film-forming compositions marked with designations “ÂĎŃ-Ä” and “ÂĎŃ Ä”,
- to prohibit the Defendants to use designations “ÂĎŃ-Ä” and “ÂĎŃ Ä” on the packagings of film-forming compositions when manufacturing and introducing them into the civil turnover and on the documentation related to the introducing of goods into the civil turnover.
October 24, 2011 the Appeal Arbitration Court for the First Circuit ruled in favor of our client “Soremartec S.A.” (Belgium) (Plaintiff) in trademark infringement case on Russian trademark 395732 and affirmed the Decision of the Arbitration Court of Voronezhskaya Region as of July 13, 2011 according to which the Court decided to collect from one of the Defendants compensation in the amount of 2 000 000 rubles, to collect from the other Defendant compensation in the amount of 10 000 rubles, to oblige the Defendants to stop producing, introducing into the civil turnover and advertising ice-cream marked by the designation “Đŕôŕýëëŕ“, destroy the packages of ice-cream marked by the designation “Đŕôŕýëëŕ“.
September 23, 2011 the Arbitration Court of Novosibirsk Region ruled in favor of our client “Ferrero S.P.A.” (Italy) in trademark infringement case on international registration trademarks No. 783985 and No. 486994 and decided to collect from one of the Defendants ("Confectionary
Concern Chernogorskiy" Ltd.) compensation in the amount of 200 000 rubles, to collect from the other Defendant (“Trading House Khoroshiy” Ltd.) compensation in the amount of 8 000 rubles and to oblige the Defendants to stop selling sweets “Monterosh”.
